Man shot at party | Renton police blotter

Domestic violence: At 12:52 p.m. May 5 in the 1700 block of Maple Valley Highway, officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A witness told the officers he witnessed a female and a male arguing. Officers determined the female was the primary aggressor. She was arrested and booked into jail for fourth-degree domestic violence assault.

Argument leads to gunshot: At 10:51 p.m. May 5 in the 3800 block of Northeast 8th Court, officers responded to a dispute in progress. Witnesses told officers a male and female were arguing outside their home. Then the male was seen arguing with three men across the street. He then pulled something out of the trunk of a car, and the witnesses heard a gunshot. The suspect was uncooperative when officers arrived. He was detained, arrested and booked into jail for first-degree assault and resisting arrest. Officers located a spent shell casing in the street. No one was injured.

Assault: At 2:14 p.m. May 7 in the 2400 block of Jones Avenue Southeast, officers responded to an assault. The victim stated the suspect had assaulted her. The suspect was no longer on the scene. A witness stated the victim instigated the incident. No one wanted to be a victim. A report was taken for documentation.

Man shot at party: At 9:19 p.m. May 8 in the 600 block of Queen Avenue Northeast, officers responded to a shooting at a house party. Witnesses report that three or four other males assaulted a male, then one of them pulled out a gun and shot the victim. The suspects then fled the scene. The victim went to the hospital in critical condition.
